- Introduction
Welcome to Aussie Shed. By accessing or using the Aussie Shed marketplace, you agree to comply with these Terms & Conditions.
Aussie Shed provides an online platform connecting buyers with independent Australian makers, creators and craftspeople.
- Marketplace Role
Aussie Shed acts solely as a marketplace platform.
Products and services listed on Aussie Shed are offered by independent sellers. Aussie Shed is not the manufacturer, supplier or owner of products listed by makers unless expressly stated.
- User Accounts
Users must provide accurate information when creating an account.
Aussie Shed reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information, breach these terms or engage in prohibited conduct.
- Maker Approval
Seller accounts are subject to review and approval.
Aussie Shed reserves the right to approve, reject, suspend or revoke seller access at its sole discretion.
Approval may be refused for any listing, business or seller that does not align with the marketplace's focus on genuine Australian-made products and craftsmanship.
- Fees & Commissions
There are no monthly subscription fees or listing fees for approved makers.
Aussie Shed charges a 6% commission on completed sales made through the platform.
Payment processing fees charged by payment providers, including Stripe, may also apply and will be deducted from transaction proceeds in accordance with the payment provider's terms.
Aussie Shed reserves the right to change fees in the future with reasonable notice to users.
- Payments
All payments must be processed through approved marketplace payment systems.
Users must not attempt to circumvent marketplace transactions to avoid commissions or fees.
- Custom Orders
Custom orders are subject to agreement between buyer and maker.
Buyers should review specifications, dimensions, materials and timelines before placing an order.
Custom-made products may not be eligible for refunds where permitted by Australian Consumer Law.
- Prohibited Listings
The following may not be listed on Aussie Shed:
Illegal products Counterfeit goods Mass-produced imported products marketed as handmade Dangerous or prohibited items Any item that violates Australian law
Aussie Shed reserves the right to remove listings without notice.
- Shipping & Delivery
Makers are responsible for fulfilling orders and providing accurate delivery information.
Delivery times are estimates only unless otherwise stated.
- Refunds & Disputes
Buyers and makers are encouraged to resolve disputes directly.
Australian Consumer Law rights continue to apply where applicable.
Aussie Shed may assist with dispute resolution but is not responsible for fulfilling seller obligations.
- Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Aussie Shed is not liable for losses arising from transactions between buyers and independent makers.
- Changes To These Terms
Aussie Shed may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.
